Aberdeen Highland Games

Aberdeen’s Highland Games is a popular one day event which attracts between 8,000 and 15,000 people annually. The event features a variety of family friendly entertainment including traditional Scottish Highland Games competitions, pipe band championships and solo piping competitions, a small fun fair, family entertainment including stage performances and free children’s activities as well as numerous catering outlets and a beer tent.

 

New for this year there will also be a Deeside Local Food Festival marquee showcasing a selection of local food and drink market stalls and promoting the Crathes Castle festival in August.  Bookings for this event will be taken through the Deeside Local Food Festival website.

 

The marquee will not provide electricity for stalls.  If you want to bring your own.  if you require power you will have to provide your own silent diesel generator (see 22 on Terms and Conditions).   14 stalls are available inside the marquee and there will also be space for 2 stalls outside.  Tables provided inside.  No equipment requiring gas will be permitted inside the marquee.

How To Apply

 Please follow these steps to apply for a stall:

Step 1)  Create an account at the Log In prompt at the top of the page

Step 2)  Register Your Business by filling in the form and uploading the necessary documents

Step 3)  You can review or update your buiness details at any point using the Review/Update Details page

Step 4)  Only once you have submitted all your information can you Request a Stall

Step 5)  If there is space you will be advised on how to make the payment, however if there is no space available you will be added to the waiting list

 

Step 6)  Once payment has been made a receipt will be issued automatically

How Much Does It Cost?

There will be 14 stalls inside the marquee and 2 stall pitches available outside the marquee. 

 

All stalls will be charged at £80

General Stall Information

Indoor and Outdoor Market Stalls

  • All single market stalls are equivalent to a trestle table size

  • It is possible to share a stall with another vendor.  Please note both vendors of a sharing stall must apply separately and pay individually

  • Indoor market stalls are provided with a table as standard - unless you request otherwise.  Outdoor market stalls must provide horsebox, gazebo or similar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I set up on the Saturday prior to the games?

No; all stalls must be setup on Sunday 21 June 2020, access to the event site will be from 7.00-9.00am. Access for stallholders after 9.00am will only be permitted if traders and charities are able to walk in from the public car park.

I have another staff member coming in later in the day, how do they get access?

Each stallholder is given up to 4 event wristbands in advance of the event allowing access for their staff at the event entry gates. Staff arriving by car can use the free public car park.
